What will the event include?
- A fusion of interesting keynote presentations in the morning and a choice of motivating practical workshops in the afternoon.
- The launch of the DCCC’s new publication Building Pictures of Learning: Meaningful Assessment and Successful Transitions in Early Childhood.
- The announcement of the winning entry of €5,000 to develop a natural outdoor learning space designed by Jane Wratten, Natural Landscape Designer.
What will I achieve from attending the event?
- Advice on strategies, techniques and activities to understand, support and enhance children’s personal, social and emotional well-being in their day to day practice with young children.
- Presentations and workshops will explore the use of the outdoors, storytelling, drama, song, puppets, circle time and assessment for learning as ways of supporting children’s holistic well-being, learning and development.
Who should attend the event and how much does it cost?
- Childcare providers, practitioners, education and health professionals, parents, students and anyone with an interest in promoting active learning in early childhood will be interested in this event. The event fee is €35 per person and €100 for groups of 4.
