Crossroads and Killygordon Community Playgroup Ltd has been up and running since 1984 and we moved to a purpose built building in 2008. We are situated in the heart of Killygordon village next to the woods, the river the local primary school and have access to the playgroup which is just across the road from the preschool. Our facility has been purposely designed and adapted to meet the needs of and development of young children. We are a play based preschool guided by Siolta, Aistear and best practice, and have created a learning environment which uses a holistic approach to all aspects of children’s learning,development and experience. Our team of staff are highly qualified from level 5 up to degree level and are very skilled and experienced. Our 2 pre-school sessions which are free under the ECCE Scheme operate from 9.15am to 12.15pm We have 2 playrooms were we can cater for up to 22 children in each room.  We have 3 individual custom designed outdoor areas and have recently undertaken to have 2 outdoor areas covered creating areas that can be used all year round, and we have a policy to take indoor play outdoors. We also offer AIM programme (Access and Inclusion Model) which is designed to ensure that children with disabilities can access the Early Childhood Care and Education Programme and participate fully in the pre-school alongside their peers.  We are now expanding to an afternoon session from September 2023,  for further information contact the playgroup.
